if the price were about half that i'd say yes... but a $500+ trackday just isn't in the cards for me
wtf, who the hell would pay 500 dollars to ride around some track...what do you have to show for when your done, besides treadless tires?
to much money for me.

and $415 for a two day event WITH an in car instructor and class room time is a steal.
If you're scared to go to a track just say so.
That's actually a great deal! Road A is one of the best tracks out there. I only drove 4 of the turns back in June (Formula D), and I want to drive the whole track. I'll be out of town those dates at a drift event, but I'll try to make the next one if you're going Trey.
nah, 400 is still expensive, especially for the amount of tracktime that you ususally get for bmwcca
if you really wanna drive at RA, do NASA
Too bad there are no more NASA races at RA this year.
$415 for event
$400 for tires
$100+ new brakes, brake fluid flush, oil change.
Then consider gas, and food

as for tires/ brakes/ gas...if you are bitching about these things you shouldnt even cosider tracking your car....

You can easily run a few track days in one year on the same set of tires. No need to run out and buy new tires. Every track day I've been to was on my daily driver tires. I'm too cheap to buy fancy slicks.
All you need is a good set of pads and fluid and a sac between your legs.
Road Atlanta is really fun, and scary lol. I drove there last summer with NASA.
RA chews my street tires upppp, especially 10b and up the hill out of the esses....gotta get some spare wheels for the slicks before going out again.
Is that weekend only for street legal or can a race prepped car be used?
As long as it's not a convertable, you can run it.
well.. im DQ'ed then.... unless they have rollbar standards...Originally Posted by Trey

The Spec Miata race is held where again? Oh yeah! Road Atlanta! Hooray!Originally Posted by Trey
Actually, I think they required a 6-point roll cage. Maybe 4, but I would think 6.
Spec Miata is a full on racing program, my post is a BMW driver event for daily drivers. It's their rules not Road Atlanta's.
would rather race a mountain or something and risk a speeding ticket.
$415s not bad for the amount of track time u get, I went to a track day held by the panoz racing school eariler this year, it was like $280 for one day, it was def worth the money, road alt is an amazing track and turn 12 is scary as hell.
HAHAHAHA, turn 12 gets people all the timeOriginally Posted by trc_gsr
