How can People Play Gaylo?
Seriously. I picked up a new Legendary Edition Halo 3 box set for 30 bucks...awesome deal, so I was expecting amazing from all the hype from it.
Anyways, I tried some multiplayer, and HATED it. I mean compared to COD4, its a worlds difference. Its like stepping back 10 years and playing DOOM or Duke Nukem multiplayer.
whatever! halo 3 = win!there are some points i don't like but i enjoy halo 3 for the most part
but battlefield the newer one is still a favorite game!
Having beaten both and played each games multiplayer for over 100 hours (total..not in one sitting) I would have to give the nod to Halo 3. CoD4's singleplayer was good but I felt like I was going just to finsih it...it had some cool moments but the story was about as boring as any Tom Clancy game..it's your standard bad guy gets a nuke and you have to stop him. Whereas Halo 3 kept me playing to see what would happen next...not the best story but still better than msot games.
Graphically though I would have to give it to CoD4. It's nice having no jaggies and incredible graphics running at 60fps. Halo 3 was a bit of a let down in this department mainly because of the jaggies.
Online definatly goes to Halo 3 with the depth of it's stats and recording and the fact that there is alot more going on during the match and there's a greater variety of gametypes. COD4 has a great online compnent...it just doesn tfeel as diverse as it could be. Thankfully this games are totally different and I can switch and play one when Im tired of the other.
I guess Id have to give the overall experience to Halo 3...but not by much.
Edit: plus halo 3 has the theater mode and make your own maps.
Edit # 2, that reminds me, i made the sickest defending capture the flag castle one day it took me like 4 hours, but the offensive team had vehicles and the good weapons....which is another reason halo 3 has an advantage, VEHICLES.

Halo is great. I'm not saying it's the best game ever or anything, but it's a great franchise. Nemesis, did you ever play Halo 1 or 2?

I agree with OP. I played both and COD is by far one of the best games for 360. Anyone that says Halo is better than COD obviously hasn't played COD yet.

halo 2 > Halo 3 (story line/ game play/ online menus easier to navigate) but I do like the online co-op and forge (in 3) but it's not that impressive
