Default Pics of two GT-Rs at Nissan's training facility

    Hey guys,

Well Nissan had TWO R35s over at their training facility recently and had mechanics from all over come in to learn the intricacies of this machine.

They had two cars - one was complete and one was partially dis-assembled.

From what I heard - the brakes are a BIG deal. I'm not sure why, but brake jobs are going to be big dollar work-items.

My buddy got a few pics with his camera phone (sorry about the quality) and I thought I'd pass them on.

Are you talking about the facility in Marietta? Big deal. One of them is driven around the parking lot all the time by students. I've seen one of them at least 20 times.

I wonder if that is why the GTR race team brought all these to the 24 hour race...

i know sometimes when people go to the track they put on a special set of pads that really tear up the rotor. maybe thats why idk im not sure. id imagine after 24 hours of driving the car really hard you would need to change the rotor that is if the pads are responsible for it.

um? I'll need someone to look it up but i doubt a 911 GT3 goes through more than 2 sets of rotors. Usually, i don't see them changing rotors unless the were physically damaged in a wreck. Now that is a race car but it uses steel rotors. A steet car turned race car with production rotors?. I still think that is way way to many. But again, this was the first race so i guess they wanted to be ready for anything.
