    SOLD!!!

FOR SALE: Clean 1996 Nissan 240SX with many thoughtful modifications

    Cliff Notes:
    • Rust-free southern car with clean Carfax and good paint - 115,000.
    • Very clean interior – no cracks, rips, tears or stains.
    • All features work perfectly – cold AC, good stereo, power windows & locks, etc.
    • Many performance upgrades and excellent maintenance for great reliability during 110 mile/day commute and track days.
    • No leaks, drips, or surprises.
    • NO DRIFTING, street racing, etc. Adult driven.
    • Motor runs flawlessly with a smooth idle and no vacuum leaks.
    • Large folder of receipts for modifications and maintenance.
    • Title in hand

I purchased this vehicle in June of 2007 with only 82,000 miles on the odometer. It was stock except for the Silvia K’s rear spoiler, speakers, and head unit. As my third 240X, I modified it for confidence-inspiring control and excellent reliability as my daily driver and HPDE toy. I have put 33,000 miles on it in the last year commuting and driving to and participating in events without a single mechanical failure. Full tech inspections before each event, regular maintenance, and a slightly anal owner have conspired to keep the car in excellent shape!

A brief word about the time this car spent on the track. The two largest events were a PCA event at Little Talladega GP (think really big autocross) and a BMWCCA event at the spectacular Barber Motorsport Park. As planned, the tires, brakes, and suspension were more than enough to manage the NA engine and cautious driver. I have never drifted the car, taken it to the drag strip, or engaged in street shenanigans – all high speed driving was at the track under the eyes of an experienced instructor. No “offs”, miss-shifts, skids, or other damaging incidents. I always drive this car to and from events.

All performance modifications were installed by me or Tophat Performance in Conyers, GA. Each was installed with my commute and track days in mind. If you note the installation dates below, suspension and brakes were improved long before any engine modifications.

    Thanks for the compliment.

This car is not for you - it is for someone who wants a CLEAN, low mileage, very well maintained, thoughtfully modified S14.

Questions about the car and constructive criticism of the ad are appreciated - please keep negative comments to yourself.

    Regards,
    Chris

The car is very clean, but KBB's value for it is $4,490. The mileage is what's hurting the value for me. Would you be willing to go somewhere in the middle? $5,750.00 ? Also if the car doesn't sell by the time the next Varsity meet comes will you bring it there? I'd like to look at it.

Yes, KBB's value is $4500. So add half the value of the $6800 in modifications (again, not including maintenance or labor) and you end up at $7900. I understand that $7500 is a high price, and as with any used car sale, I am open to negotiation. However, the excellent condition of the car, the numerous modifications, and the low miles (less than 10k/year) mean that I cannot accept your current offer.

Though my schedule makes it difficult, I *may* attend next month's Varsity meet. If so, I will let you know.

Please call if you'd like to discuss further - I'll be happy to answer any questions you may have, and perhaps we can find a price that is agreeable for both of us.

    Thanks for inquiring.

Bump for a reliable vehicle. 240's are really a ton of fun if you drive them right, and for the 7k range thats good! usually when a owner uses tasteful parts it shows he kept up with oil changes and such

Thanks for the kind words! If the rear seat had 6" more inches of leg room, I'd likely keep it rather than buying another Bimmer...

I'm too tall to carry passengers in a s14. My seats go 3 clicks before the end LOL
