    I want to squeze a little more power out of my stock EVO 9

    ok i raced my friends little civic hatchback, he had a GSR swap and a 100shot of nitrous, i had the jump then he came back and got me by 2 car length

    what can i do to pull him a car length or more, but i dont want to go to crazy and blow my turbo and shiet-btw my evo is bonestock

    how much psi can my stock motor hold?
    how much psi can i go on the stock turbo?
    how much psi can i go without changing the injectors?

    A tune will be your biggest gain, but you can get cams and boost controller also...

    do the basics.

    255 fuel pump
    272 style camshafts
    3 inch exhaust
    stainless o2 housing
    tubular exhaust manifold
    hard intercooler piping
    ebay intercooler for the evo

    and a GOOD tune for 23-25 psi on pump gas, you can squeze more out of it on race if you can port the Evo 9 turbo.

    With those mods you should be putting down in the 350+ whp. at they level, with a good clutch (bolton's go with ACT, if you go with larger turbo, go with a twin disk) you should be fighting off corvettes and cobra's

    thanks everyone, but what is o2 housing i dont understand is the stock one really small or something

    and TUNE do i just bring my car to a tuning shop and they just tune it, i dont have to buy any kind of management, if i do need management whats the best bang for the buck, i only want to make 350whp

    dont get a exhaust manifold....stock exhaust mani does just fine, even makes more power than the megan 99% of the time. intake, 02 housing, downpipe, exhaust, fuel pump and tune should get you about 330whp.

    add front mount and piping and cams and you can see 360-370ish whp

    [all pump gas 22-23psi with tune]

    check into topspeed, dyoformance, battleground or forged for your tuning options. your best bet is have the factory ECU flashed for your tune.

    One time when I was at Top Speed, a guy came in with a bone stock EVO 9 and pulled 250+ awhp. After Doug did a reflash, the car left with 290+ awhp. Like I said, this EVO 9 was 100% bone stock.

    trying to save money? Take the air filter off. Take the exhaust off. Or gut the cat. Those are going to be the only things that are "free" and gain a little bit of power.

    o2 housing is a good bang for buck along w/ the tune
