Top Gun Sequel????

It seems that yet another 80s classic is set for a sequel. According to Daily Mail, Tom Cruise has been in talks with studios to resurrect his 1986 classic Top Gun for a sequel.

It is said that Cruise is in talks with studio execs to step back into Pete Maverick Mitchell's flight suit and the studio heads are warming up to the idea.

"The idea is Maverick is at the Top Gun school as an instructor - and this time it is he who has to deal with a cocky new female pilot," said an inside source.

We'll surely keep you posted on this intriguing development as soon as more information arises.

The F-22 is a Air Force plane, not a naval plane. So they will most likely fly a F-18 Super Hornet if the producers dont put them in the F-35 Lightning II aka the "Joint Strike Fighter", which is still being tested and will be put into service sometime in the next decade.

They would not use a plane not even out yet, BUT after all they did call a T-38 a Mig 28 (Which a Mig 28 does not exsist, since they go by odd numbers) and they called the and a F-4 was called something else (I cant remember what they called it in the movie)

It has potential, but I think they need a new male "Maverick" to make it work. I think the idea of a female pilot would take away from the movie.

Apparently Cruise turned the role down, no more F-14's in the Navy anyway so it wouldn't be the same for me.

My career plans is to become a commercial pilot. I plan on going to Jacksonville University which works with the Delta Connection Academy.

All good ideas, except he should definitely ride that new Ducati Cruise just bought or a CBR-1000RR imo.
