Default So I'm watching the greatest car-guy movie ever made.

    Smokey and the Bandit.

It occurs to me some of you whippersnappers may think otherwise. What is your choice for greatest car movie of all-time and defend it.

    I'll check back later.

PS. This should not be in video because then I can't call them gay and make them feel stupid for their choice...

I hate you so hard, you know what I meant.

But yea, Gone in 60 sec (the original) was good, but it was more about how many cars they could wreck. Bullitt had one of the best car chase scenes of all time, but as far as an overall movie. S&B hit on all cylinders.

    Cars - check
Smokey burnouts - check and check
Potrays women as objects - check
Makes running from the law look fun - check
    Involves alcohol - check
    Involves betting - check
    Corny humor - check

I enjoyed Gone in 60 Seconds Both of them.

Of course scenery helped with the second one.

Of course I really enjoyed Ronin, which wasnt as much of a car movie but did have some cool driving in it. AS did a lot of James Bond Movies

Bullitt- greatest car chase ever made. but the rest of the movie sucks. except for the ending where he runs in front of the 747.

Smokey and the Bandit -had it all and was good but the car chase does not match buillit. but still in my number 2 car movie

    Pursuit Special from Mad Max

It's loud, it's fast, and it just plain looks mean. But it's also a cop car, which means Max gets to use it to run down evil bikers.
1980 Lamborghini Countach LP 400S from The Cannonball Run

it just stands out in a movie filled with hot cars
    James Bond's Aston Martin DB5

just look at it no explanation needed
The 2054 Lexus CD from Minority Report

    just beautiful
Dodge M4S Turbo Interceptor from The Wraith

    just a bad ass car

what was the name of that movie with that car where the driver would overcome foes by racing them and would blaze them, than disappear, re-appear, opponent would crash into the car, car would appear again? smokey and the bandit wins by far, hands down.

Though it was more a suspense than car chase, Death Proof with Kurt Russell that came out a year or so ago had some awesome driving + sweet cars.

Original Smokey & the Bandit FTW

also dont forget about the era or time period it was placed in, and with that the biggest reason of the time for it was
    BURT REYNOLDS

and i know there will be flaming for this but the FnF movies were all entertaining, not the greatest but still a good series.

one of the greatest i would consider is Days of Thunder, i think we can all agree that was a good movie even if you dont like nascar

Man i dunno, its been YEARS since ive seen that movie. The bottom line is, hes got some kind of JDM tyte type RRR gearbox or something. F#ck if we know, maybe it was a 10 speed and he just didn't wanna push it.

I wanna nominate "American Graffiti" by George Lucas. Its about car club on an average Friday/Saturday night cruise and old school hot rod street racing.
