First let me say. If you dont know about DSM's or mechanics in general this is not the car for you. DSM's take alot of TLC and patience. If you believe yourself to be mechanicly savvy. Then have at it.


The car is a Barcelona Red 1998 Eclipse GST below are the specs

Possibly a few other things that have skipped my mind


The interior of this car is easily a 10/10. Leather is perfect. The exterior is damn close to a 9/10. No dents or major scratchs. Paint is in good shape and holding strong.


To who ever buy the vehicle I highly recommend replacing the lifters. The car still runs just fine but you will here the lifter tick which is very common among DSMs. Not required but highly recommend. A set of lifters from extremepsi.com cost $109.00. Again if you are at all mechanically inclined. You can install them. I have a Car Fax history report on the car and it is completely clean. I am planning on deploying to iraq soon so I need to sell the car. If you have any question or would like any information please email me or IM me. I should have been clear. Your right. This vehicle its not pushing 385 at 22psi. I am simply saying what the turbo is capable of. Check on dsmtuners.com that is the max power the big 16G will put out. I was giving information on the turbo. Not the car itself. my mistake. I can post the link to the information if you'd like.

Possibly a ported 16G among other things. But a stock B16G max hp is 385. Do some research.

Isaac, The FP 16g is basically a 20g in a 16g housing. Thats why it is capable of so much more power, and thats also why it costs a good bit more than an MHI b16g.

Justin, what isnt wrong with it?

Loose exhaust manifold bolts, loose OIL PAN BOLTS (one fell out, another almost fell out), loose j pipe, loose intake, loose downpipe, loose oil and coolant lines on the turbo, BLOWN TURBO, needs all new lifters because these are completely shot (listed in the ad though) odometer and trip meter DO NOT WORK, so there is absolutely no telling how many miles are really on this car (until I run the carfax to find out). Battery is too small for the car, cannot even perform a compression test because by the 3rd or 4th time turning over, the battery is so low it barely turns over. It barely turns over to begin with. So the compression numbers are reading all out of wack because of weak battery voltage.

When I say loose, I mean not even hand tight loose. Downpipe had a 1'' gap between it and the o2 housing, j pipe you could move around and lift up to about a 1/2'' gap between it and the turbo. One of the oil pan bolts fell out completely, another almost did, all the rest were loose. One of the coolant lines popped off completely on the way home due to not being tightened. Took me 2 hours to do a 30 minute drive because of sitting on the side of the road.

Auto Check says the last registered miles were in 99 at 48,000. Thats right, no joke,

So needless to say the mileage is wrong, even though the odometer states it! No way, thats not possible?! Oh yeah, the fucking odometer does not work.

It doesnt piss me off that bad because its nothing major (hopefully, still have to do compression check, there is a slight chance something is wrong inside that motor. It just pisses me off I added all of this stuff to the trade, and I found this. There is no way he can claim he didnt know about any of this stuff, because there is no way he drove it like this. No way. I gave him a lot of stuff with it, a lot. I just want my xbox 360 back, the rest he can keep. That is the item of most value that I added, I dont think its too much to ask to get that back. Ive already spent $200 that I didnt have, plus its going to need lifters and a battery. And I have to get a radio because he pulled his old one out and didnt provide me with a replacement like he said he would.

And, to make things worse, I accidentally forgot a bag at my house that was supposed to be his, full of games, remotes, extra cords, etc. Well, he said he would call me Saturday to meet up and get the games, and he has not called me yet. So he obviously knows something is up, because he has not attempted to get in touch with me to get the games.

Well, that was fun. Pulled the VC off, and 2 lifters are completely shot, not pumping up at all. That would explain it. So that little lifter tick turned out to be two trashed lifters.

There is a set of new lifters in my near future. God I didnt have the money for all of this right off the bat. Not to mention he never said anything about the battery being too small for the car, so I need a new battery. Cant even do a compression test because the battery gets too weak by the 4th time the motor turns over. And it turns over SLOW as hell.
