Default Diddy Launches Bad Boy Latino

Jay-Z has Roc La Familia, Diddy now haves Bad Boy Latino.
Diddy and producer Emilio Estefan have joined forces on a multi-media venture called Bad Boy Latino, forming a coalition in the growing Latin hip-hop market.

"The Latino market in the U.S. is such a beautiful, diverse, and powerful market and I am blessed to have a partner like Emilio," Diddy said in a statement. "He is an amazing example of how creativity, combined with hard work and a belief in one's self, can spark an entire cultural movement."

Diddy first referenced Bad Boy Latino at the Latin Billboard Awards in April, announcing that Miami rapper Pitbull would be part of the new venture. They likely will look for artists from the reggaeton genre, a fusion of salsa, reggae and rap that has grabbed a foothold on radio airways in urban markets such as Los Angeles, New York and Miami.

So you diggin this movement or what?

dont mean to offend but diddy has been known to "launch" musical fads to his bad boy label.when he hosted the dancestar awards like in 2001 he promised to lauch a techno/trance label and where did that go? in like 96 there was supposed to some bad boy soul shit with 112, faith and Total and where did that go? "he just likes to hear his own voice." Diddy could careless about his label hes content with being mr. bojangles for the new millinuem dacing the jig in france and a sean jean velour suit.

I mean you got the reggaeton, the hot shit out right now in most all the clubs, you got your latin rappers/ hip hop artists (I'm thinkin peeps like Orishas, Delinquent habits, people on some other shit then the blin blin BS) then with the Tropical section thats all about salsa/bachata/merengue... he just might have made a smart move...

we'll see if they make MTV... the day I see a fuckin Orishas/reggae/salsa group on TRL will be the day I can say we made it
