    i purchased a 240sx hatch from a friend of mine..i put a down payment on it and the first day i got it it got rod knock..so everyone do not buy anything from him cause it most likely breaks..

    suck it up. you get what you paid for. He didnt know it was going to mess up. Maybe you shoulda had the car checked out before you bought it.

    when you buy a used car, especially one you are getting for VERY cheap, you buy it at your own risk. im sure if he knew it was gonna break, he would have told you.

    are you sure its rod knock? sometimes loud hydraulic lifters can be mistaken for rod knock, and ive heard it several times on 240 motors.
