dude sorry to tell you this but get far far away from that 2.0 engine, those things pop constantly. i have owned 4 talon tsi's and all of them were professionaly built and tuned and one of them had a 2.3 stroker from ffwdconnection in it. those things are fast but money pits.

The 4g's "pop constantly?" I gotta go with no on this one. The motors are the strongest part about the DSM's. The 4g is one of the better stock turbo 4 cylinder motors. I have seen a bonestock 7 BOLT, not even a 6 bolt, go 11.5 at 115 in the 1/4. The guy drove it down from Chattanooga, ran 11.5, 11.8, 12.0 in the same day and drove home with NO problems.
As far as the money pit issue, yeah, most fast cars are money pits, especially when you start modding them. If you had 4 talon's and all were profesionally built and tuned, and you were popping motors left and right, you should have looked for a new shop to build your motors. I guarantee you you didnt "pop" that ffwdconnection motor. If you had a 2.3 stroked TSI and it wasnt a weekend/drag car, then that is your fault.
Money pits, yes, they are minimum 9 years old, in this case 18 years old. Popping motors left and right? No. The 4g is a stout motor, can go low 11's bone stock.
I think your gonna break it... but good luck
I think you're wrong.Originally Posted by JITB

can't wait to get a 16g and tune on it (I street tuned it for now, so it's safe).
But when I got it, it was STUPID lean. It was barely drive-able.
