Half interested...I'm fighting between the 350z and G35. Not much left on my student loan. Soon as it's paid, I'm in the market. Doing homework in the market for now.

Straight...who knows. I found out today I CAN bring a vehicle to my MOS school, so I just may be in the market, soon. If so...we may be meeting up, but I'm more leaning into a 350 ONLY because I can throw in a nav system and all those kinda toys...but I like the idea of a rear seat...so I'm torn like a virgin.

Naw, really, I'm in the Marines. While I'm stationed in the states, I wanna be able to haul my crap (body bag + 2 large duffel bags) when necc. Something stylish with class that turns heads, but something I can still go up in the mountains with and toy around just a bit, and something I can setup audio/video/navigation. Not for show, but more just for luxury. As far as a back seat...it's not necc., but would be nice...plus its' a little extra room to put stuff. I considered a 4-door, but at the age of only 22, I'm just not ready to go 4door, yet...even if it is the better idea. Finally, something that's a little bit gas friendly. I was really wanting a truck, but gas is just too stupid, and my needs for a truck don't outweigh the cost of gas, anymore.
Cars I've considered to fit my needs...
BMW 3-series (probably would be 325 or 328...i or ci)
Acura TL(s)
Altima SE-R (ONLY the SE-R)
G35
350Z
IS300 (eliminated cuz it's only available in an automatic)
Think that's about it. Thought about like a civic Si, but honestly, I A) wanna step away from Honda and learn something new (yes, I know having interest in an Acura contradicts this statement), and B) I want something bigger than a Honda.
Any advice or insight on/between your car or another?

hmmm. toughy....... i dont like bmers so i wouldnt have even put them in the same class as a g or z, unless it was an m3. altima se-r sounds/looks good and is 4 door so theres the room but to me personaly not really luxurious. that goes for the z as well. The z has very limited room but can handle very well. The G sounds/looks good always turns heads, can handle relatively well, is luxurious, has more room than a z, and did i mention the sound?!?!?!??!REMEMBER the price is OBO!!!
Well, I mean, each has their ups and downs. I love the feel of the BMW's, but I haven't exactly had a chance to sit behind the wheel of a G35 more than moving it around a parking lot (worked at a collision center), so I can't compare. The 350z, I just love the way it wraps around you. Granted it was a 4dr G35, the G35 didn't offer that "tight vagina" feel that the Z did...but I could see this being beneficial during my several 5hr road trips from Pensacola to home for the time I'm stationed there. The SE-R I was kind of out-ruling, as well, because to me, I can get a nicer car (G35, BMW, 350, OR TL) for far less. Plus the "bragging rights" of it. Tell someone you drive any of the 4 vs. driving an Altima SE-R, and I guarantee different results.
Mostly it's down to those four...more specifically the 350 vs. G35. Still just kind of in a battle with myself over trunk space/rear seat vs. ability to play.
I haven't researched aftermarket products for the G35 much...what kind of a market is out there? If I were to do anything it'd be nothing more than a change of rims, probably about a 1 or 1.5" drop, and getting a little more umph from the motor via bolt ons or little turbo. Any knowledge?
