    I have a grand, cash in hand for any gas saving vehicle. I just would like a beater.

    i haven't got my lic yet.. but i've rode it around a bit and love it... only complaint is the seat isn't very comfy... but i'm looking at a new seat anyway...

    Thats too much work man, and no thanks on the insurance

    Ive got a V6 Cougar at home that I would drive , but I just wanted something that would net me a good quick turnaround return.

    the aprilia rs50 goes about 75 gets 80-100mpgand the fact that it isnt a scooter but yet falls into the same class as one is pretty awesome. No need for a lisence either! and i belive motorscooters need no insurance if im correct?

    Definately lots of fun to ride. I had one like 5-6 years ago i sold it for a $1200 last summer though wish i still had it. Right now im driving my s10 gets about 30mpg highway and 26mpg city. Not too bad but im thinking about picking up another bike if the woman will let me. Gsxr1000 ftmfw

    any S13 is decent for $1000.

    I just bought a 94 Civic Hatch for $700 with a blown headgasket, and swapped a D15 into it.

    I put $20 in it an filled it up, 157miles later an im still above half tank

    FTW

    If you get a honda i can tune it to get 45mpg
