galant v.s. maxima

Tonight at an undisclosed location I had I run in with i think its "bijan gxe" or something like that. He has a 99 Maxima V6 5 speed with bolt ons and he "doesnt have spray."

Well he didnt want to go from a dig so we went from like a 50 kick. Which isnt an awd turbo cars forte but hey.


My clutch slips on the highway for some reason, the higher the gear the more it slips. And I had a MBC on tonight at 10 pounds. I can run 20-21 max but its been to hot so I said fuck it and leave it on 10 until I can get it tuned for more down here. These aren't excuses this is just background.

So we line up twice and are pretty much dead even both times. He got the jump once and I got the jump once. I would say thats pretty even.

Anyway we both pulled about a half to one length on each other.

So all in all it was a close race. I was very impressed by the Maxima.

At 20 psi the car made 330s (before cams)so I must be making 250-260 whp probably at 10 psi so I dont know what the Maxima is putting down but probably about that or less since my car is heavier.

Which one? I know there is one in Northpoint and I stop by Buford and Pleasant Hill sometimes. I'll come out there pretty soon. I just need a tune down here to get my car up to spec boost again. Well and it needs to get colder.

I'll post the hwy run later today, or you have time you can post it. I can't believe how bad my plugs melted, pieces of it broke off. I put some new plugs in it & it's still not running right, it's seems like it's misfiring but it's still drivable

Yea, looking at those plugs amazed me. They were completely gone. Did you ever really figure out that happened?

So out of the the vr4 - se-r - and auxillaries car(wrx?), the vr4 is the quickest? When its at its best?

Auxiliarys WRX is back to stock.

I've never ran the GVR4, but I'd assume that when it is running 20psi it'd most definately be faster then the se-r.

Right now I'm just running 7lbs.

As soon as my clutch stops slipping I will be getting it tuned at Batlground and run 12 or 13 lbs daily.

Stock maxima's don't make anything close to that kind of whp. I had a 97 5 speed, with CAI, Y-pipe and Exhaust and those mods usually only add up to like 180-190 whp, maybe 210 wtq.
