    Default Cars in France v2

Well since we are on this subject and I felt like digging for these pictures, here you go. Pictures of cars I took in France that don't exist here. Most of these were taken at St. Jean-de-Luz, in the South West of France cornering the border of Spain and the Atlantic; this explains the "Basque" architecture. Well except the WRX, the Land Rover and the Ferrari..

    MG:

    Alfa-Romeo (I love this one):

Honda's (the Jazz is the Fit over here):

A car i also really like, Peugeot 406 and 407:

Random, + one of my favorite Ferrari:

    ^^ Smart car and 407

Brera! ****! I'd kill to own one of those.. why can't ****in Alfa come here more quickly?

On a side note, what's the car that's pulling the ATV? Looks like a clone of the G35/G37..

    EDIT:
Never mind. I didn't read the notes above each photograph.

    EDIT:
    Guess it's a Peugeot.
    It's a Peugeot 407 Coupe.
The previous one (406) was designed by Pininfarina but that one was designed by the Peugeot design team themselves...

Alfa's coming stateside in Nov/Dec. '08 with the 8C, followed by the 8C spider early next year and the Brera/Spider after that. Unless the Brera has a massive markup at launch, I'll definitely try and get my hands on one.
Undoubtedly, the high point of the entire thing is that you will be able to buy and service an Alfa at a freakin Maserati dealership! How cool is that?

Btw, check out this clip of the 8C's exhaust: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vX93t...eature=related
Imagine playing that soundtrack at 3 in the morning.. lol

I read that French cars have to get their quality up. In alot of Europe's JD power like tests, French autos usually place last.

^^ ehh not from what i heard, are you sure? The quality of French cars has risen enormously since the past ~5 years, but I speak from experience and what my French entourage tells me.. Cars over there come with so many options its ridiculous and the quality and sturdiness (at least what it feels like) is a lot higher than what we are used to over here.. Ford's in France are not like the Ford's here, they look and are a whole lot better in order to compete with the European market. Quality and standards are higher there imo.. But these are not facts, so I really don't know..

Very well said. I remember sitting in those horrible 605s which dropped in value faster than gravity. The current range of Peus and Cits have a unique French flair that's missing in all other cars. But save for France and some parts of England, I don't see a lot of French cars in Europe. Anyhow, check out Clarkson's review of the range topping C6-

^^ thanks for the link! hahah

Yeah the quality and comfort of the interior on French cars is amazing, think about all the stone roads in Paris.. When i lived in France, my dad had a cit Xantia which was awesome, you could raise and lower the car with the pneumatic suspension and had so many other gadgets that didn't really exist on other cars at the time..

But lol @ the reliability of the french cars years ago.. Probably doesn't get much worst than that..
