Smile Help James P. Mason get on the 10th District Ballot for Congress!

James P. Mason, known mostly by his marketing at Maxxis Tires, is running for Congress in the 10th Congressional District of Georgia. For those of you who don't know where this is, refer to this link:

James needs your help. To get on the ballot as an independent candidate, he needs 17,079 (5% of the district) signatures on a petition. These signatures have to come from voters who are registered to vote in the district. These signatures need to be collected by July 7th, 2008.

Here's the plan. We need a car show.

We need to have a show in Athens for not only Athens IA members, but those from all over. We need to meet in the AM, have a show, meet and greet, show and shine, and then disperse from the show to go STRATEGICALLY collect signatures. Then we need to meet back up to get these sheets notarized. Beyond this, it's up to you what to do.

James would like to have another event in Augusta. Anybody for a small road trip? Both of these events would need a notary public to either donate their time and their signing hand or accept a nominal fee for their services.

Secondly, any 10th District IA members that would like to help can get one, two, three or even four sheets (15 signatures per sheet), and take them around to their senior class, freshman class, work, club, church, or place of attendance and aquire signatures. James will provided a self-addressed, stamped envelope for return by June 21st. All sheets will need notarized before they are returned.

Third and final. This campaign (outlined at www.jamespmason.com in a couple of days, is being run on a budget. This means that we are practicing fiscal responsibility by only collecting a limited amount of money. Absolutely none of these funds are going to be accepted from PACs (Political Action Committees) or registered lobbyists. These funds will come from concerned, supportive private citizens both in and out of the 10th District. If you are interested in supporting the James P. Mason for Congress campaign, you may donate online soon, or mail your donation to:

    Let's Get To Work Fund
    P.O. Box 1007
    Jefferson, GA 30549

Donors may contribute up to $2,000 per candidate, per election. So please...don't send more than that! All contributions must be acompanied by the following information:

    Full Name
    Address
    Occupation

Thanks for taking the time to read through this post. Time is of the essence in acquiring these 17,079 signatures so please do me this favor. If James have ever helped you, helped someone you know, or if you are looking to assist an honest man make a difference in this country, please spread the word, help me get these events going, and work together with James to get these signatures, get him on the ballot for November 4, and get elected to Congress.

Any questions may be emailed to [email protected] or posted here in response.

Thanks again, and we look forward to hearing from you.

This isn't the worst summer I've had around Savannah.
Parris Island '01 - now that was one hell of a summer.
