    Default how to replace exsaust stem seals

    i am working on a d15b7 and i cannot get the springs that hold the stem seals off so i can replace the stem seals. i have alredy changed the intake stem seals but the i cant change the exsaust stem seals because of the springs. any ideas on how to get tem off? any help will be repped. thanks in advance

    jdmb16-i would advise you not to make an attempt at this. You might hurt yourself. I recommend Dover heads. If you go there, see Jesse, tell him Anthony sent you.

    do it the joe 6 pack way and get a socket a little smaller than ur retainer, put socket over the retainer and hit socket with a hammer just enough to compress the spring about half way. if u hit too hard u could bend a valve and good luck getting everything back 2gether without the right tool but u asked how to get them off right. lol!

    it might work. i dont want to bend my valves though. lol thanks anyways
