Default hood dampers what the hell

okay so if you get a carbon fiber hood, do you need aftermarket hood dampers or not.
the CF hoods for TL's are 20 pounds lighter, will the stock hood dampers act a fool and **** with my ****, or would i need to get dif ones if i go CF

The stock dampers will put too much force on the hood when you try to close it. After a short period of time the hood will crack where the dampers attach to it. I would strongly suggest a lighter pressure dampener.

Definatly change them. I have seen them break a hood before. My buddy opened his hood and they broke it on the way up from the force.
