    Default NEW PROBLEM!! HELP!!

    ok we has a ls/vtec swap that has a few problems but this should be the last!
    the motor starts on it's own now and it fires. but after about 3-4.5k it sounds like the speed limiter hits????? it boggs down the goes back to 3-4.5k then again.........WTF could this be??? reps for any help!!!! thanx in advance...

    You are in fail safe mode (limp mode)

    Your check engine light should be on. What are the codes?

    try to take the cat converter out and rev again you will be deaf by the time you finish and you will see if it pass over 4 n revs normal get a new cat converter
    that same thing happened to my car and i drove for 2 weeks like dat until i decided to check if the exhaust were clogged or sumthin and it worked

    let me know if you try this n what the outcome was
