    Default FS: Toshiba Satellite Laptop - $150

    I'm selling this laptop after receiving it from a friend that could not get it to work. Will not power up, could be something simple as needing a new battery. Don't have the need for a laptop so here is a good deal for those of you that are good with electronics! I usually work on desktop PCs so this is pretty much out of my league lol.

    She has really taken care of it, a few minor scuffs on the top casing (as seen in the 1st pic). LCD screen is in perfect condition, no cracks around the corners or anything of the sort.

    -Intel Pentium 4 @ 1.7Ghz
    -40GB HD
    -1GB RAM (Comes with 512mb, there are 2 sticks so I assume that it is 1GB)
    -Nvidia GPU
    -Harmon Kardon Speakers
    -Windows XP

    Will also come with the AC wall charger.

    I also have a Toshiba Tecra8000 if anyone is interested. Pentium 3 400mhz and 10gb hd.

    Built like a rock kind of like the old IBM thinkpad laptop.

    She gave it to me to recover her lost BIOS pw and decided to get the Satellite instead.

    The Tecra sells on eBay for 140 in working condition.

    Comes with WinXp has a batt life of 1 1/2 hrs.

    Need $ so let me know!

    Ah thought my message went through the Blackberry. Have to type it again lol.

    Sattellite is in great condition cosmetically, but just won't power on.

    Tecra8000 powers on, good condition cosmetically.

    Hmm...well the parts are worth more than $50...closer to my asking and we'll talk.

    I've been tempted to gut out the thing for the LCD lol.

    seems like more than just a battery issue... i have a satellite and mine works with the ac adapter/no battery installed.

    older satellites are notorious for having problems with the motherboard and power source. They over head and the motherboard warps where it meets the power souce. I had one a few years back and had to send it in 4 times in 2 years. Both times they completely replaced the motherboard and power source.
