Kinda goes with the same story. Back long time ago I was trying to figure out an AOL IM name to use. I couldn't think of anything, and anything I thought of was taken. Well on my dad's monitor he had a surge protector right under it. The old schools ones that where flat and sate under the monitor. It had a lot of switches, printer, PC, monitor, and AUX 1, AUX 2. I Just took, aux and the year, 96.
Looked into it, and Aux was short for auxiliary. It's been stuck ever since then.
