    Default Brett Farve Retiring!!!!

After 17 seasons it's finally over. Got to say I didn't really see this coming after the great season he had last year. I'm definitely going to miss watching him, although I absolutely I hated him when he played my team lol. News conference is scheduled for 4 p.m.

This is the best way to go out, he had a great final year, why should he play? he already has the ring

I think Steve Young said it best. "What else does he have to prove?" I know he would have prefered to go out with another ring, but his place is already set in history. Another ring would have just been a anotehr ring at this point.

He was the last of his era. He had a great year. I'm glad he left on his own terms and didn't tarnish his legacy by staying in the game too long. Great QB.

The thing about Brett is that no matter what era of the league he would have been an Hall Of Famer, he was a real gamer, we will be hard pressed to see another QB of his caliber anytime soon

Exactly what I was thinking. After his last few seasons have been horrible, i figured he would finally retire after a losing season and be remembered for his last few years. I'm glad he had one last run and retired with one final playoff run.

i think he will be back. He needs to get a super bowl ring or at least go.

he already has one..he's been to two superbowls..he won his first..lost the second one he went to. he's set man. he's good and ready to go. had a great season last season...if he came back and did worse...then he'd need to stay in order to live up to his numbers/expectations..thats why he retired..he realized last year was great...and he wanted to leave last year, his last year

Brett Farve was a hell of a QB but i am sorry he should have done this a couple of seasons ago i mean he had a great year this year but it was the first good year in what...4 seasons. now whats the odds of him doing what he did again next season?

you cant blame those really bad yers solely on him though. Until last year he had horible teams to work woth. The only ting that kept them compeditive was Farve.

i was very sad to learn that he was retiring, deff the best QB ever to play the game in my eyes,he would put the whole team on his back and do anything it took to win, that was both the best and worst part of his game

brett favre is my hero lol

i have a bunch of his rookie cards, so those should start inceasing in value over the years since hes retiring

but its still sad to see him go, even though he has flirted with the idea of retirement in the past lol

Think its time to upgrade to firefox with spell check. I can blame it on him only thing that was different about this team and the past was Ryan Grant and I will put money that he will be one year wonder.
