What do you guys think of the Audi R8? I haven't seen it until I saw the SuperBowl commercial.

have you been living under a rock? We've all known about that car for over a year.

^^ Yeah, I drew a frame of a man running on each fan blade. That is him running at idle

    I liked the comercial...

The only thing I don't care for about it are the wheels. But that can be easily remedied. And yeah, this car has been known by most for at least a year.

According to MSN auto -> MSRP PRICE RANGE: $109,000 - $118,000

The 2008 Audi R8 is powered by a 420-horsepower 4.2-liter aluminum V8 with FSI direct fuel injection and quattro all-wheel drive. The power is delivered through either a 6-speed manual or the R tronic sequential manual gearbox that uses the same transmission and clutch but operates the clutch and changes gears automatically.

What's the point of it being manual then? Mind as well just have it automatic.

No, its 2 different transmissions, one regular SMG auto, and one regular manual.

Unless you get the Godfather reference then I can see why the commercial would seem stupid to you...however I thought it was a good commercial.

when i worked at Audi we had one come in. The sticker price was aroun $130k, but i know most dealers are marking them up about $40k more. I have some pics, nothing great just snapped them real fast. It looks stunning in person.

There is no automatic transmission option for this car, only two maunals. One controlled by you, one controlled by a computer.
