Those of you that read my dyno thread know I was chasing after 11's with the new found power from my bolt ons. Went to mmpdragracing.com this weekend to try for the new best. Temperature was 60deg, humidity was 66%. The car is still on stock tires, clutch, blah blah blah. Only mods are the ones listed in my sig. Here is the slip breakdown.

    60' - 1.948
    330 - 5.219
    1/8 - 7.876
    MPH - 94.28
    1000 - 10.119
    1/4 - 12.005
    MPH - 120.01

I have the mph for 11's, just need to launch a bit harder. Fun time.

With that trap you should be in the 11's. As Boris would say "you need to shift fester".

Those are awesome numbers for the power you make. I barely got into the 11's when I was stock. Think I ran a 11.995@120.

Have you ever thought of taking your car to MTI? I think you can get more power out of the mods you have listed. Reese is a fantastic tuner.

not too shabby, if you didn't blink so much i think you could've busted 12's. i blink in .004 seconds, so you should blink faster hahaha.

as said above, TIRES ftw. cut that 60' to a 1.8 and you're in the 11's everytime. good job though man, can't wait to get out there with ya and line em up =]

The car has a tune from Reese @ MTI Racing lol. I just need a bit more seat time with the new power. The track was hooking yesterday too, which is also quite new. I was able to launch from 1800rpm and hook, really cool.

Ha ha, weird. I just thought they were making more power than that.

Anyway, good times. You will hit 11 next time out, I'm sure. I went to the track like 4 times and cut my time down each one.

Yea, you always see these hot shot dyno's coming from these forums sponsors out in texas and cali...etc. Fact of the matter is, I have out trapped all of them except like 3. If my car were down 15whp, it would show up there. Not to mention the fact that they have the benefit of racing at some of the fastest tracks in the US. I would LOVE to see what they could run at little old MMP.

I don't know how he does it, but Reese seems to shave some horsepower off at the peak, but make an awesome powerband. My 501rwhp is pretty damn stout on the "street dyno" Outran a 680rwhp GT 500 last night, and (barely) pulled a half car on Slowhawk's 650rwhp Firebird. Granted, these cars both weighed 800+lbs more than me, but still.

I'm VERY happy with what I have, even if I don't have HP numbers to brag about.

I agree. My numbers are nothing to brag about, but my track numbers are pretty respectable. The track tells me I am making on par power, if not slightly more, than all the big dog dyno's that I have seen with an equivalent combo. I am very happy w/ the mph the car put down, I just need to get a little more seat time. Got an offer from my buddy w/ a 603rwhp Z06 to let me borrow his DR's. I think I may take him up on that to get a freaking 11 lol.

how are those kooks workin our for ya? i'm still debating whether i should go LG or kooks... i've heard great things about both... heard a lot of "LG > kooks" talk these days, but the kooks is considerably cheaper...

fyi: i've got the vararam and corsa sport exhaust... badly in need of headers and a tune....

i dont think you could go wrong with either one. i've got kooks on mine with their 3" midpipe with cats and corsa tigershark outback on my 427. alot of the guys on here have more kooks.

Ehh, good question. I love them, they fit great and I got a great deal on them. Here was my reasoning for going with the Kooks. 1. They offer 1 7/8" runners...LG only comes in 1 3/4" and there was some debate on the LS3 as to whether the 1 3/4" hole partially blocked some of the exhaust port. It turns out that they didn't, but I had already ordered. 2. I eventually plan on caming the car and it should sit close to 500rwhp. The 1 7/8" runner size will be an advantage as of this point for a 5~10whp more I would guess. 3. I got the headers from a vendor that was offering a FREE Jethot coating. I refuse to run uncoated headers for a number of reasons, but I won't get into that. # 3 was the biggest reason. The price was better and they came coated. If the LG headers would come coated and for the same price, I would probably have bought them. I do believe they are a slightly superior design, but not for the money I would have had to had paid over the Kooks. Judging from my mph, I don't think it was a bad decision. BTW, are you on corvette forum? I can't figure out where I recognize your name from.

ty, the torque curve is just a rush. i have over 400wtq at 2300 rpm and over 500 at 4500. it's nice to be able to shortshift and not have to use the 7k redline unless i want to.

oh, 1.8 very good info!! those ls3's are goin to turn out to be the ls to have for the money i believe.
