Default TT-01D 1/10th scale electric drift r/c car

I bought all the parts last week, built it, ran it 5-6 times, and decided I would rather a nitro again.

    TT-01 drift spec chassis
    Tamiya foward/reverse ESC
    Futaba radio
Tamiya's drift motor, which is better than i thought it would be.
Aluminum heat sink for the motor
    2 2400mAh batteries
    prophet plus charger
    locked front and rear diffs
Tamiya included some drift tires that i covered in electrical tape, saves the tires and i personally can drift better like that.

Its a ready to run deal, everything is included

    $200

Also, 200 is kinda firm, seeing as all said and done I paid a little over 300 (with receipts) just last week. So no more PMs offering $120, please

If you're talking about the rs4d you had for sale, you couldnt move it because one, its 1/18th scale, and two, you wanted an obscene about of money for it. I'm offering a 1/10th scale thats brand new for $100 less than you.

Brushes make you slow. Lose 'em and don't miss your nitros...

Its not the speed. Its the batteries. I cant stand driving for 10 minutes, changing batteries, driving for 10 minutes, then being done for an hour while they cool down and charge back up

Going brushless will also greatly increase run time. Brushless motors are just that much more efficient than brushed. There's always lipo batteries, as well.

You are supposed to stop and let the nitro engine cool down after every tank, anyways.

Obviously you know what you want, I just always have to defend electrons. They get a bad rap in the entry-level world. Brushless and lipos have changed everything.

I'm no entry level. And i love electrics, but to me they've always been second to my nitros. They're fun to break out the 1/18 scales for some simple fun, and the 1/10th scale is pretty cool to drift ( i had a nitro drifter, and ill admit electric owns drifting) But all said and done, my main cars have always been, and will always be nitro.

And the only reason to let an engine cool down is if you dont have it tuned properly. Go watch them run at sugar bowl, ive seen the 1/8th scale onroads drink an entire gallon without being shut off in practice.

Anyone who doesn't want to rebuild their engine every two gallons will let the engine cool down after a few runs.

I'm not arguing one is better than the other, I know better than that. They both have their ups and downs. Run time and waiting for batteries to charge is an excuse I hear all the time, and it bugs me, because if you are doing it right, there's equivalent downtime with a nitro.

You ought to check out the trinity now truggy when you sell this car. Hell of a deal. 1/16th scale brushless, comes with a lipo pack and charger, all at about $210. You say small scale is fun to play around with, this truck is great. It won't cure your current problem with electrics, but just for some small-scale fun, it's pretty damn cool. Maybe worth checking out after you get your 1/8th scale nitro.

nothing beats the brute force that nitros put out, the smell, and ability to run constantly at peak performance. Have you ever been to a real race? those motors run all day, infact there's a 24 hour 1/8th scale race going on right now in atl....go check it out and see if they stop every 10 mins to let the motor cool down and recv batt cool and charge . Electrics are fun, gas are fun, i have both, but the motor needs a rest quote is BS.
