    Default Stolen Alpine CDA-9851 1/22/2008!

    Hey all, I know that I probably won't ever see it again, but just warning everyone around the Indian Trail, Lilburn area in Gwinnett to watch out for their cars/head units/etc. Last night or early this morning someone broke into my toyota pickup truck at my house and stole my head unit. It was parked all the way in and blocked by two other cars so someone had to know it was there. It was an Alpine CDA-9851 cd/mp3/wma head unit with a remote, and detachable face unit. Whoever did this knew what they were doing... they popped the door handle enough with a screwdriver or something to open the door, and then actually unscrewed the dash instead of ripping it out. They even took the din spacer too. So I don't expect to see it again, but just a watch out there for anyone who sees a shady person selling an alpine 9851 head unit. Thanks!


    They even stole my freaking control knobs on the dash. wtf!!!

    EDIT: added picture of what it looks like. I don't have actual photos of it, just one of what it should look like. Also the toyota wiring harness was gone too, along with the mounting hardware.

    Yeah, it really sucks. put in the police report, but they probably won't find anything. Now to find another h/u...and an alarm...

    Clean h/u swipe. That sucks! Everytime I leave my truck I detach the face but, that doesn't make it harder to steal just less tempting. Sorry man. I'm on the watch.

    all good man, yeah gwinnett is going down fast, and it's not looking good. Can't even work on my on driveway anymore without looking over if someone is going to steal my tools or something else.
