    Default Question about stator.

I recently bought a new stator but it is still not charging the brand new battery i bought. Is there anywhere that can check and see if it is any good. Also are there any fuses in the charging like that may have gone bad. The bike is a 01 r6. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

assuming the r6 came with one you need to replace the regulator rectifior

So I took it off today after about 45 mins of struggle. The lower bolt requires you to dis assemble the whole bike. Any how the black wire going in the the above stated part looks to be burnt up. Also on the RECTIFIER the prong that was connected is black, where the rest of them are silver. Now my dilemma, Do I have to replace the whole black wire? Should I just put a new connector piece on? I'm still trying to figure out how this affects the stator from not giving any power. Kinda odd, but this defiantly seems to be a problem. I'll upload pics so you can take a look at it, and tell me what you think. Thanks for all the help.

the regulator rectifier is what sends the charge from the stator to the battery...so if your R/R is burnt up then all the energy your stator is building up is just being lost and none is going into the battery.....

Thanks again everyone for all the info. The problem has been resolved finally. I wish I would have posted a while ago instead of troubleshooting myself.
