    Default B-series Timing belt question.

I guess it's about time to replace the timing belt/water pump/ idler pulley on my GSR. I was trying to decide which brand of timing belt to go with. Has anyone else on here used an aftermarket timing belt on their B series engine (such as TODA, GReddy, Power Enterprises)? At this point the engine is completely stock, so is it even worth it go with an aftermarket timing belt, or should I just go with an OEM timing belt?

    reps for any USEFUL info.

Just use OEM, the TOda and Greddy belts are more for guys running really big camshafts.

yea thats what I was thinking, but I'm not sure if I am going to build the engine any time in the future... If I do build the engine, I will go all motor of course, which will probably include some really big cams.

You won't get a greddy belt from many serious engine builders (i.e inlinepro, raceline) unless you request it yourself.... even then they will often not recommend it. Believe it or not it's HARD to beat the OEM belt man. Mike is right.

OEM is best. There's a reason they made it the way they did.

i'm biased, but OEM. Mike, why do the greddy and toda belts do better for really big cams?
