    Default Veyron done in 1991?

Came across these.....i'll let rest of y'all do the talking.
    1991 Audi Avus Quattro Concept
Just one month after presenting the quattro Spyder, Audi aroused the enthusiasm of the experts once again. At the 1991 Tokyo Motor Show, the Audi Avus quattro stole the limelight. A futuristic sports car study with aluminium body and W12 mid-engine - Audi's commitment to perfect aluminium lightweight technology.

    oh guess the 0-60 time?
2.9sec...hmmm 4 extra cylinders only shaved off .3.

Volkswagen AG purchased the rights to produce cars under the Bugatti marque in 1998.

But really and truly, you've got something there because the idea is clearly visable. I mean the veyron is a Bugatti in name......and thats it!

they already had a starting platform to build on.....so i guess it was just putting new sheetmetal on and adding more cylinders....also get the aerodynamics right. Funny how they never brought this up after production.

Well about the .3 shaved off, gotta keep in mind the extra baggage the Veyron is mostlikely carrying that the Audi does not have

good find. crazy that was a concept 15 years before it was built by Bugatti.

was there ever an estimated price if it was to be produced? I would guess it would be a little less without the Bugatti name
