    Most domains back then were registered for free. It wasn't until the mid 90's that there was a registration fee attached. Then it was about $100 for 2 years. Later, QD.

    I bought my first domain for 38$ a year through a company called network solutions LOL

    Who was the first company to advertise their company in a commercial as a .com?

    I remember a long time ago etrade.com commercials were all over the tv and during the superbowl and I was saying, wtf is that?
