yes they do, the do it yourself kit is 800$, you will have to weld all of the brackets together yourself, i have all of my welding certificates if you want it done right, or the kit ready to bolt in i believe is right around 2k, forgot who makes the kit, i will look into it, you will have to beat out your tranny tunnel pretty significantly and get your drive-shaft shortened.
Hinson supercars makes a kit I believe spelling might be wrong, google it.
thanks guys , the hinson place sells a kit with a bunch of **** that i can actually make myself or do without . all i need are the mounts and driveshaft from the resaerch i have done . and from them that will only be about 450 from what i understand. reps to both of you .
let me know how it turns out, i have an LS2 sitting around i'd like to throw in a 97-98 chassis
saving it for a rainy day project, only paid 2700 for it and it has 11k on it
the hinson stuff is garbage. i know because i tried to help them do a decent job on it, and they had no interest in doing anything but making money and cutting corners while tooting their own horn.
www.xatracing.com
no diy kit.
also check out www.ls1tech.com inthe conversions & hybrids forum. get on there and get in
i heard the hinson stuff sucks more than a few times now . so has anyone actually done this swap or know someone who has . my research has came to a halt . plus to top it off my sr popped on my way home tonight . sooooo i need info to get this done .Originally Posted by mikespeed95

thanks man , didnt give that much info but still thanks . i will im him .
Yeah make your own, people think custom mounts are expensive, they arent AT ALL. As in under $500 easy. I dont think there is a COMPLETE kit available. Out of curiosity why a LS motor and not another V8?

Yeah but a older V8 takes an hour to install LOL.
Yeah LS's are bad ass. I have heard wiring is actually very simple. There is a diagram somewhere on the net for a LS to 240 swap.
My SR powered 240 is my DD and I commute 64 miles a day 5 days a week. Boost = reliable if done right, just like any other motor.
are you 375whp + ?Originally Posted by Echonova
truth. my 320whp SR was plenty reliable being beaten on for 4 years of drifting and daily driving. the LS1 blew up my first demo due to oil starvation.Originally Posted by Echonova
and echo , i had my dsm tuned plenty , by BG and it still popped .

neither is better than the other, just depends on your preference and driving style.
Gotta love that BOV though...

I think he'll be to busy with trying to get traction and staying straight to think bout a bov
