Well I'm sorry my opinion of a "good CD" doesn't fit into the same category that yours does since you like three 6 mafia, project pat, CRIME MOB, lil wyte and gorilla zoe? Wow that's some real talent you got on your list buddy (besides three 6 and project pat)Originally Posted by Schugg
dam, did a full background check! never said anything about talent or it being bad, i just said what is the world coming to.Originally Posted by ryanh300

Then what's that supposed to mean? Jay Z is hands down one of the most talented rappers if not the most talented to ever live.Originally Posted by Schugg

Yep, my opinion...but there is a lot of garbage stuff coming out these days.Originally Posted by quickdodgeŽ

yeah there is, but garbage to one person is another persons treasure. like you said when you were runnin off about all the stuff i listen to. you dont like it, lack of talent blah blah whatever. but to me its probably the only stuff i listen to. i try to listen to the other rap on radio stations but that doesnt last long. rather go listen to red rum (three 6, i got that damn song memorized!) or this aint what you want (crime mob) 10 times. i can guarantee you listen to either of those and you'll laugh like wtf is this sh!t!Originally Posted by ryanh300

if you think about it rap/hip hop no longer carries a message. all new songs are mostly about money, guns, drugs, and bitches. it has no point, but im not saying i have a problem w/it, most of its all right. the way i see tallent now is through what they can come up with off the top of their head and still make it sound right.
Then you are entirely listening to the wrong kind of rap.Originally Posted by tmzoz

No. He is exactly right. If your birthdate is correct, you probably didn't really get into music until close to the mid 90's. This is the transition period into crap rap. I've been listening to hip hop/rap since it started. You know you've been around rap when you say you bought Rapper's Delight when it first came out, lolol. Listen to Grandmaster Flash, Run DMC(early years), Kurtis Blow, Public Enemy, NWA and the likes of rap from then. There is NO comparison between these guys and Jay-Z, 50 Cent, Jim Jones, TI and these new cats. Rap then carried a message about society as a whole. A message about actual life and the goings on in it. It had a purpose to it. You don't hear that now. All you hear now is about how rich they (say) they are, how bad ass of a gangster they are. They don't talk about social issues. Later, QD.Originally Posted by Random Hero
