2009 Charity Calendar for American Cancer Society

This is pretty serious, so keep the childish comments to yourself. My buddies grandmother was diagnosed with cancer.. so he's got a project idea he wants to do.

Here's the story:


Earlier this month my grandmother was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. This is the same person that raised me until I was 5 years old. Long story short...I realized I knew nothing about this type of cancer, or in general, I felt like I should give back after taking so many things for granted. I told her about this project and she was pretty happy that I am doing something proactive. Idea | Objective: Create a exquisite calender for 2009 car themed calendar w/ various backdrops (Industrial, Abstract & Nature) Day, Night, Sunset/Sunrise. Once the photo's have been selected, and the calendar has been designed (I will pay for a 100% of the production costs), we can sell it and have a 100% of the Proceeds go to the American Cancer Society. I have already spoken to a representative of the ACS and I will give you their detailed contact information below:
Who I need: Anyone & everyone is welcomed for this project, I am also looking for photographers, designers, models, makeup & hair people, fashion designers, and of course car enthusiasts. Everyone who contributes their time to this project will be given credit, in the calendar itself, there will page be dedicated for naming everyone who helped make the calendar a reality.
Time Frame: I would love to get the majority of the photo's taken within the next six months + time for editing, ordering, production, and setting up an account with the American Cancer Society.
Locations: I am willing to travel pretty much anywhere in the southeast as long as its on the schedule and everyone in this project can agree on dates.

Oh no, the last calender project on this site was a major FLOP for a lot of reasons. But good luck nonetheless.

he's got it running on multiple sites.. so hopefully it should take off pretty quickly.. if we dont get alot of interest.. we alls till have alot of nice cars we can shoot. and we'll have to just use one photographer.. i was just seeing if people were interested so they could rep their shop--get their name out there, and/or show off their photographing skills.

i can see this being an import only kind of thing. why not make a couple calendars? one imports, one domestics, etc....????

thats a good idea.. ill talk to sulman about that.. but again, a nice car is a nice car, i dont see why we couldn't do a car from each type of big company?

i mean 2 or 3 seems:
1) more manageable
2) a hell of a lot cheaper....

i meant one photo from each car company, so that way the calendar isn't import biased or domestic biased :]
