    Default b series tranny info

    i need a little transmission info. i want to buy a 97 type r lsd but i have a gsr and ls tranny will it bolt up? does anyone have a diagram on the b series tranny ?

    of course it will bolt up. and since you stated that you have a gsr, your tranny should already be hydro. so it will bolt right up and hook up with no problems.

    make sure you shim the diff correctly sometimes the shims you already have may not be sufficient. You do not want any part of the diff touching the case. It is also a good idea to put the diff in and leave the main and counter shafts out, put the outer case in place with a couple of bolts and make sure the diff does not move in the case. If you are doing this swap yourself there are two washers at the bottem of the main shaft do not lose these or put them on backwards this is very important.
