everyone in that picture is a waste of life.

if you support obama or hillary, may you burn in hell when our country burns to the ground from the mass amount of fail this country will go through.

I dont really get into the whole presidential debate but obama is a ****ing moron.

I'm not a very godly person, Not religious at allbut damn, How do you pull prayers and such out of school? If people dont want to participate ok, But I say leave it the way it was. You pull god out of peoples life and everything is a failure.

I dont believe in God, but I would engage in something like the anthem just over tradition especially if I was in his shoes. I celebrate christmas but hell it wasnt but 5years ago that I realized it was christmas because of christ, where before I thought it was just present day. After I found out I been celebrating Jesus day all my life, I continued to celebrate Jesus/Present day, not religiously but traditionally.

i dont see where separation of church and state have anything to do with this

my only answer to this would be to know your country, know whats expected, and that by showing he is unwilling to pledge allegiance to this country, which should be considered a gift imo, and show outwardly that he is down for us then he is a traitor of the literal since, if he doesnt pledge allegiance to this country who does he pledge allegiance too? i say **** him....

and just for reading pleasure, taken from the United States Code...

"During rendition of the national anthem when the flag is displayed, all present except those in uniform should stand at attention facing the flag with the right hand over the heart. Men not in uniform should remove their headdress with their right hand and hold it at the left shoulder, the hand being over the heart. -- United States Code, Title 36, Chapter 10, Sec. 171"

and b/c i know people are going to ask....the United States Code (U.S.C.) is a compilation and codification of the general and permanent federal law of the United States.

is he saying that he doesnt support america. is he saying that he doesnt believe in our freedoms.

those pics on the bottom of that other link say that he had his hand over his heart for the national anthem. theres a difference. the national anthem is our country's "Song". the pledge of allegiance is your word that you will protect your freedoms and your country and your rights, which the flag is a symbol of.

This has been established, and why is that such a big deal? My middle name's Bin Laden...are you going to look at me any differently?

I don't understand why he wouldn't say the pledge though...something doesn't seem right about that.

If you're going to let a thing like this be a deciding factor in your decision...then I think we have a lot more to worry about. Then again, since you're posting this, I think you've made your decision already. You're taking this as another reason not to support this candidate.

I don't like this about a lot of people these days. Seems like they don't care as much about how good the candidate they support are...but simply how much dirt they can dig up on the other guys.

I'm still sort of taken aback at that, but it's pretty trivial compared to what atrocities our current Commander in Cheif has committed.

As for the Pledge of Allegance, I've stood up with my hand on my heart for it...I don't remember actually reciting it after 5th grade though.

Hinduism does not promote close-mindedness at ALL. It's one of the most open and accepting religions out there.

I think faith is a pretty bad reason to base one's vote on, if it's just faith and faith alone. I see no connection between a person's faith and their ability to lead a country. Well...that's a stretch. I see some connection, because if a person is of a certain faith, it is implied that they have a certain set of morals and values that they follow. People respect and admire that they have these morals and values. However, just because someone is of a certain faith, it doesn't mean that they automatically practice these morals and have said values. Soon enough, it seems like the faith is just there for namesake. I mean, look at our current president. He is a man of faith, but SO MANY of his actions and decisions have led us to believe otherwise.

EDIT: Mr. Org...where did your post go? That was good stuff.

my apologies man, i deleted the post b/c i just didnt want to open that bag of worms....i see what youre saying though, but my religion more or less dictates my beliefs, i am seriously conservative, its just the way i was raised, and now being out on my own with my own family and having time to sit back and look at what i really believe in and tackle the hard main things people look or worry at i see that some things me any my parents/family dont agree on, but for the most part my core beliefs and convictions have not changed and it makes sense for me to look for someone of like faith and then try to match my beliefs with theirs and go with the best match from there

Oh well, I enjoy a debate every now and then.

I mean, I disagree with a lot...but I can respect that you aren't just blindly following. As long as people can support what they say and know what they're talking about, I'll definitely keep my ears open. I like to know what people think and why.

Also, did he not do the pledge because it says "Under God"? I mean, I had my rant because it seems every good guy that pops up who seems able to whole-heartedly run this country, people start to pick out the dumbest **** to knock him so some other person who they really know nothing about politically (maybe perhaps only the main points which that candidate stresses) can possibly win office and help America into another struggle of sorts. Do your full research on your canidates(sp. lol)

That was good stuff.
hinduism is not the same as muslim or islam...... hindus are straight.
