Default Weird Stroies in The News!!!

HONG KONG (Reuters) - A Hong Kong man who knocked back two vials of blood after a drinking binge has been jailed for two months, a newspaper reported Tuesday.

Li Man-yiu, 29, told a court Monday he was "extremely thirsty" when he staggered into a hospital on September 13 for treatment for an injured toe, the South China Morning Post reported.

Surveillance cameras showed Li "walk up to the laboratory counter, take three tubes containing blood samples, drink the contents of two and then dump the vials in the lift lobby," the Post reported.

When he realized the vials had contained blood, Li rushed to the toilet to vomit, the report added.

The court accepted that Li had drunk the blood under the influence of alcohol, but jailed him after he pleaded guilty to theft, the report added.

    Default Forgot the Body Doc?

VIENNA (Reuters) - The body of a 76-year-old woman found dead in her Vienna flat was left there for nine days because a doctor who registered the death forgot to notify a removal service, officials said Tuesday.

The oversight was noticed when neighbors of the deceased woman complained of a worsening stench, said Andreas Flaschner, spokesman for the Austrian capital's disinfection department.

"It was a mistake. The doctor thought paramedics had removed the body while the paramedics thought the doctor had arranged for it. I've worked here 20 years and never seen anything like it," said Flaschner. The body was taken for burial on October 8.

Default What was this guy thinking lol

SYDNEY (Reuters) - An Australian man, clad only in underwear, fell nine stories while trying to build a makeshift plank bridge into a neighbor's flat, but lived to tell the tale.

The bridge collapsed just after midnight Tuesday sending the 35-year-old man plummeting into a building structure below, police in Western Australia state said.

"He was skylarking around, building planks across to his neighbor's place when it happened. He was very lucky. It was an iron and timber structure, possibly a pergola, that cushioned his fall," police spokeswoman Ros Weatherall said.

The man was recovering in hospital with cuts and a suspected broken leg.

In these cases, I'm pretty sure they weren't thinking at all. Especially that guy who drank that blood.
