it's the most nastiest smell you can imagine, my parents eat it and say it's really good, but I can't get past the smell to know! once you cut it open....omg, it makes you want to gag....you can get it at any farmers market on buford hwy

What does it smell like? Everyone says it smells really bad, but no one know how to describe it. Fish? Butt? Skunk? Eggs?

They say it's banned in the airport and stuff like that.

like you ever heard the term you can almost taste how it smells? well, it's a really distinct and pungent smell....

I'd say it's pretty close to rotting eggs but sweeter? if you can imagine that...

it's really soft, almost has like a mango type texture

be brave and eat one, I just can't imagine something smelling so bad tasting good....but my parents love it, I really guess if i could just down it real quick then it'd be okay, but it fills the room really quick and if you put the rest in your fridge in tupper wear, it'd still stink up the fridge

my mom tried to bring 4 back from vietnam where they had it fresh and customs definately said no

yes!!!!! i live two years in Thailand.. i love it.. but its hard to find good ones here.. they are frozen for shipping so they arent as good.. wow i want to eat some

i might go back and visit Thailand this summer, hopefully..

if you goto any of the vietnamese grocery stores on buford hwy, they always get them in from time to time

and i love the smell, every time i smell it, it makes me hungry.. the asian farmers market has it.. well during season i think.. but as i said, they arent nearly as good as the ones fresh off the tree.. try it! but just know, im probably the only white kid in the u.s. to like it.. lol

my next mustang will be a teal 93 Cobra. I will not settle for less.

My mom's best friend out in Cali, says they are fairly fresh out there and when they get some, have sent some this way....one of my buddies when we were younger tried some, but he didn't care for it too much.

I'm more fond of fresh lychee

i have a can of lychee.. i know they arent fresh, but w/e.. ima go eat some.. i havent seen the cobra in a year or so.. but if it was yours, you can find pictures of it on the site.. look at my "car pics" thread..

i dont know, if you go to buford highway, they sell the guava with little bags of red sugar..

its pretty much spicy sugar.. its hard to describe.. i used to eat it all the time when i got out of school when i lived there..

From what I've heard, they smell like sewage, but they taste GREAT.

Guavas are amazing...my favorite exotic fruit though...the Custard Apple.

guavas are the **** w/ red spicy things.

i've tried durian...almost puked cuz the smell blasted down my nose and choked me while eating it. then i chipped a tooth cuz the gagging made me bite on the seed...i was 7.

never touched the damned thing again.

lychee is the bomb though.

i see them at teh store occaisionally... I had some once

They taste really sweet once you can get past the smell ( i cant)

they literally smell like cat pis once you cut them open
