The last episodes of the animes School Days and Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai have been pulled/post-poned after a 16yr. old young girl murders her father with an axe. Similarly, a 12yr.d old recently attacked his 44yr. old father with an axe, striking him several times in the head with it. The father of this incident is still alive. The episodes of these series have been speculated to be connected with these incidents due to their depictions of graphic violence. I've included information and clips to both below to help give thread readers a general idea of what they contain.

School Days is a high-school drama anime that originated as a PC dating sim. There were 20 possible ending with more than a few ending in graphic violents and/or suicides.

This ending was slated to be used for the anime as it is the most popular amongst fans of the game.

Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai is the second season of a historically placed anime that revolves around a small town and the mysterious murders that take place amongst the villagers, namely the school kids. Such murders include suicide, torture, stabbings, beat to death with a baseball bat, axe murders, and other gruesome styles.

Higurashi no Naku Koro ni, the first season, is currently available for purchase in the US under the title When They Cry. The original title translates into "When the Cicadas Cry".

In response to the ever-increasingly violent adult anime, many stations have pulled certain series while others are considering cutting scenes or censorships. One station, the pay channel AT-X, will continue to air the episodes in the original form.

So, whether you like anime or not, do you feel it's right for these stations to pull the episodes or censor them? I say f*ck that. Just like in video games, it's the parents responsibility to watch over what their kids watch or play. I say let the blood run and the torn limbs hit the floor.
