Leavinu vs. Ivansnow; TOP 10 List

Last night Ivan and I ran into each other at the normal spot in *****. We decided to give it a run from a 60 roll and me honking. Collins rhode next to us and filmed but we had a few mishaps.

In the end we had one clean run, in which be both agreed was clean, but the run only went from 50-100 due to a Neon SRT4 in my lane.

We dropped the kick down from 60 to 50 since 60 was out of his powerband/gearing, and he wanted to see how we would do from 50. There is a vid of a decent 60-130 run from Collins view if he can post later. Ivan stated he was having some issues with his shifter these runs thus why we did some 50 rolls. Ivan also asked for the move from the 50 roll in which I obliged.

So the end result for the 50-100 run with Ivan getting the move was me ahead by @1 car at 100 in which I hit the brakes. Ivan jumped out on me by @.5 car maybe a fender in which I caught back up and put a car on him then on the brakes.

Ivan stated this was a perfect run for him no wheel spin, no shifter issues, perfect boost, etc.

Other runs:
Came across a 08 LS3 C6 with some aftermarket wheels on it. He passed me and slammed the brakes I guess thinking, let's spank this LS2 real quick. We line up he jumps out a car length as I am still getting into gear. I pull the car back once in gear and put another car on and just start running away at this point. I slow and he pulls next to me pissed.

He asked what year and I tell him 06. He says he lost b/c of his wheels and I said "I dont think thats why my friend!"

I see already these LS3 owners are trying to debo the lil LS2 owners; that is until they run up on the wrong LS2.:idb:


Then later a bike rolls up next to me. We go from @80 roll and we are dead even to about 130ish. He gets on my other side and waves to go again. This fucker jumped out on me by @3-4 cars easy. And I gave chase but never inched closer but didnt really loose anymore ground from what I could tell.

Turned out to be a GSXR1000............ :idb:



All in all fun night for me. Oh and all runs listed above were motor only.

If done right, the LS3 is a nasty engine. They took a 2008 LS3 Corvette and added:

-longtube headers
-performance cam
-ported intake
-K&N aircharger
-Underdrive pulley
-Custom tune

And they got 506rwhp and 457 lb/ft of torque! At 17% driveline loss (a conservative figure) that's 609 flywheel horsepower.

I'll be keeping my eyes open for more tuning packages as they develop.

more cubes means more HP. Definately not taking anything away from the new LS3, how can I it's a vette.

Yeah traffic picked up suddenly. We had slowed down enough to where all was clear then with a few bad runs, such as the first you see, traffic caught back up to us.


This was from a 60roll and we start about 1 to 1.5 cars back from the camera car.
