    Default 5$ Lowes/Home depot Lips.

What are your opinions on these? Its flexible material so if you hit a curb it just bends, yet its sturdy enough to be rock solid at over 60mph, they look moderatly clean (in my opinion), but is the idea of using a peice of "Base cove molding" just too ghetto? What do yall think.

not my cup of tea but a cheap alternatrive.

you could cut some holes out, give it a design look, that might better make it look a lot less like a home depot part

People have been using those for years. It's not ghetto on a car if you are using it for functionality. Later, QD.

is it that hard to save for a knock off lip? i mean if youre that desperate for a lip for aesthetic purposes, 5 dollars isnt going to make it look that much better.

i understand some people dont want to scrap the shit out of a 200-300 dollar lip, but spending 5 bucks to make your car a rolling home depot garden advertisement doesnt make too much sense either.
dont take anything i say srsly. its the interwebs.

I think it looks better on the Miata. And I don't like Miatas. I also don't like Civics either, lolol. People have been using these garden edgers for a long time. And as far as the tacking of it on the car. Check out a real race car some time. Half the shit on those cars are just tacked on. Later, QD.

the miata doesnt look good at all, but its probably an auto-x car. It looks like the person with the civic did a good job with it, but u can only make it look like the ones in the pic. u cant mold it to lokk like a spoon or mugen lip or anything fancy, just a flat lip like on an old BMW roadracer

It really is ghetto, despite looking nice on some cars. But what other people think shouldn't sway your opinion on it. It's your car. This is the type of thing where there is no gray area.

If you're worried about scratching an expensive lip and want something you don't have to worry about, you should check this out.

Also, it's lawn edging for those who asked.

Why? If this is a daily and track why spend a hundred or more on something that can't be used? Later, QD.

    EXACTLY!!

In my opinion I would almost rather have this lip over some JDM exlusive ultra rare aerodynamicly tuned carbon fibre quad port fancy lip, because if you go plowing into something (a high speedbump maybe) you're going to tear that shit all the way off and be left with a terribly scratched up lip that you wasted 100+ on. My friend with a 240sx (Santacruz77) has a Lowes lip which sits about 2.5" off the ground, try that with a non flexible lip.

They stay suprisingly solid, you would be suprised. And thats not even with a metal brace.

I had a home depot lip on the wrx for a while but it was a different one than those garden edging ones. Look for the rubber garage door sealer strips and thats what I had, its a little different look and attaches under the bumper, I dont think I ever got any pics of it on the car but it looked pretty good. Whatever floats your boat, I liked it for a bit but then took it off. One of these days I might put it back on, I've still got all of the holes drilled under the bumper for it I just through the old strip away.

    Looks like this:

Thats what I was going for, although it wasnt my original idea. It looks almost like the JDM V-limited lips that guys spend $$$$$ on and I was frustrated at the lack of available wagon lips for our cars.

Electrical tape actually comes out much better than paint/sharpie on the screws, thats what I did on my Civic.

North Tool or Harbor Freight, you can get them for $10-20 depending on the kit/accesories or a pneumatic one for around $50-60.

If you don't want to use rivets, you can buy some self tapping sheet metal screws, they work fine.
