my wife has a nano that hasn't been charged in a while. i plugged it up to my usb to try and charge it, and i still wont turn on. if the battery goes completely dead do you have to replace it? Thanks in advance for any assistance

its the new style nano. 1gig and it hasn't been charged in like two months or so
did you look around online to see if this is a normal problem? how old is the nano (when did you get it) and how often was it used before this problem occurred?

plug it in, and give it a few minutes to get an initial charge, then try to start it up, its worth a try
I Can Change That Out For Ya Most Likely What Gen?
I occassionally have issues with my Ipod freezing...Usually what i have to do is allow the battery to die and then recharge for it to function normally again.
