lol wow didnt think i would get this kinda feed back but hey * shrug * i like the band. i listen to music not the words and alot of there stuff sounds good. im guessing the ppl saying they are gay also hate emo kids and wish they were all dead....because the band is pretty emo. but it sounds good to me and thats all that matters....thanks any ways for giving me your opinions on them :P

If you like them... good for you I guess. "Emo" is a term thats more often mis-used than not. I would call MCR more "mall-punk" than emo. I would group them with such bands as Fallout Boy, Hawthorne Heights, Taking Back Sunday, etc. None of which really appeal to me.

yes,MCR is a kinda HS punk band...but the black parde is a pretty good album, but like i said 3 cheers for sweet revenge is way better,imo....i feel sorry for people that take MCR lyrics to heart, thier about horror movies, life in prison, cowboys, and alot of other dumb stuff..but thats what makes it fun,so they can have these upbeat songs and it works..thats just my opinoin on the band.

I'm assuming HS punk band means High School Punk Band, in that case he said ''mall punk'', you know, those kids who hang out outside the mall thinking they're the coolest thing for having a public hangout. In my opinion most bands now days are just copies of each other.....everyone is just stupid enough to buy into it.

i agree that everyone copies..juts like in the 80s everyone was hair metal, the 90s was grunge/altertive and now its this new style...thats what happens in music someone comes up with somethig then everyone copies it and puts thier own spin on it....but their still few great bands out there(MCR is not great, they have only had 2 major albums, and from what ive seen their not very good live.)

Not everyone copies, they may copy individually as members to make their style, but try the Red Hot Chili Peppers, they have had 13 cd's and you can't say there is another band just like that out there can you? My point was there are alot of bands that just think because they can play an instrument they are talented. So they get popular off of the same sound everyone is listening to. Try listening to the Whigs, they're from Athens, Ga. They have had only one cd, their first, out and I can't say they sound too much like todays other music.

MCR FTW....I have the new one and 3 cheers. Im not at all in that scene....But listen to the lyrics in some songs......Like the song Cancer, Im Not Ok, Skylines and Turnstiles, Welcome to The Black Parade, ect. The lyrics is what I listen to.

    I also like The Used.

Eh, my last gf was referred to as Ziggy by almost everyone, so that song leaves a bad taste in my mouth anyways. What song did MCR cover?

Under Pressure isn't too bad considering it was with Queen, but it is a good song. The Flaming Lips covered Under Pressure and Beck covered Seven, but that's all I've heard.
