    so i had never driven a honda with vtec before and i thought ppl were just bull shitting when they said u can feel it kick in... i was driving a 02 civic and i hit some where between 4500-5500 (i think) and that shit took off...

    Vtec is actually a marketing tool honda uses to create a placebo effect, tricking one into believing that the are now under heavier acceleration while in actuality its just louder.

    mine doesnt really do anything but sound louder, and i couldnt even tell before i put on my intake after that i could here it change but it doesnt kick me in the ass or anything

    The only Honda I ever felt it in was an s2000, and it didn't throw me back in my seat or anything it just goes a little bit faster.

    i hope you realize that an 02 civic doesnt even have real vtec.... even the 02 Si doesnt have real 3 rocker vtec... only B16A, B16B, B18C, H22A, H23A-jdm bluetop AWD SiR-T wagon, K20A2, K20Z1, K20Z3, K24A2, F20B-jdm blue top SiR-T, F20C, F22C, NSX C30A, and C32B actually have real VTEC...

    Fuck a turbo.. what a waste of cash. I'm currently waiting on my kit from Japan to do the VTEC conversion for my mustang. I'm just dreading having to locate a bottle of that synthetic VTEC fluid.
