    For Reference:

    BellSouth DSL Ultra = 1.5 mbps / 256 kbps
    BellSouth Xtreme = 3 mbps / 384 kbps
    BellSouth Xtreme 6.0 = 6.0 mbps / 512 kbps

    (BellSouth avg speeds are usually only 75% or less of advertised speeds)


    Comcast 4.0 = 4 mbps / 384 kbps
    Comcast 6.0 = 6 mbps / 384 kbps
    Comcast 8.0 = 8 mbps / 768 kbps

    (Comcast avg speeds vary depending on your local area)

    Verizon FiOS = 15 ~ 20 mbps / 1500 ~ 2000 kbps

    I don't know about that speakeasy test: when I did it I got about 2x download and 6x upload compared to the speedtest.net test

    Comcast Cable 8mbps service... I was told I'm the first person in my area that has registered for this service... (our local Comcast node opened only a few months ago). Talk about whoring bandwidth all to myself, yay!

    I have Comcast 7mbps connection I think. But I'm behind 2 firewalls and a router so my speed isn't that fast.
