I love Halo and will buy Halo 3 when it comes out. However, I can't see myself getting that pumped about any video game. The sad part is that no-life pussies will find a way to hack in and cheat while the rest of us just try to play for fun. That will make me bored with this Halo just like it did with Halo 2.

If your having trouble downloading it with Crackdown, you can go to Halo3.com, then go into the forums...they have a link..you have to clear the cache....or at least you did lastnight.

i believe you have to have the game Crackdown first
then you go through it to dload the beta. seems like H3 is gonna be sick, i played for a couple hours last night

This is how you get the Halo 3 Beta if you did not receive a pass from Bungie/Microsoft.
Rent/Buy/Borrow the Xbox 360 Game "Crackdown" Load up crackdown with a Xbox Live Gold Account registered on the xbox. When you get to the main menu of Crackdown it will have a Downloads option. Select that, and when that screen shows up, wait a few seconds and a button saying "Download Halo 3 Beta" will be chooseable. Select that, download the 900mb (quite large) demo to your harddrive. After thats done downloading, load up Crackdown again and go to the Downloads menu, the "Download Halo 3 Beta" button will be replaced with a "Play Halo 3 Beta" button. Select that. I believe the first edition Crackdown Discs are red. I got mine from Blockbuster (NO LATE FEES BITCH!) So I basically get to play the Beta for a month for $8.50. Its pretty fun. Be careful, I dont know if its my box or my disc, but after I downloaded the Beta, I cant play Halo2 on my 360 anymore. Some kind of error. I dont know if its related to the Beta or not, but I played Halo 2 right before I downloaded and played the Beta.
Im actually bored with the beta at this point. Level 23 in Rumble Pit and a Gunnery Sergeant. The first day it was amazing, now its just repetitive. Especially Slayer on Snowbound, OMFG.
Regardless, I have very high hopes with Halo 3. Especially since the game will be 10x better than the Beta, with the entire Halo population telling Bungie whats good and whats bad.
