Default Can't decide which wheels to get...

I'm debating between these two sets of wheels. Switching to 18" wheels all around in order to run a drag radial/stickier tire.

I wish I could get the CCW Classics but they won't clear my calipers. The C14 wheel is just as light and stronger than the Classics.

18x12 CCW SP500 - Looks good but little tire options, 3lbs heavier per wheel, pain to keep clean. Currently have these on my car, just in a 19"

18x12 CCW C14 - Light, strong 1 pc wheel, powdercoated black. Easy to keep clean, not as 'pretty' as the SP500.

I would stick with the 500's. I pm'ed you about your rear wheel's. I want them if they are still available.

I like the black look. I not for polished so much, esp on Vettes.

The polished wheels are nice. They get a ton of looks and show the calipers nicely.

I'm the type that would rather have 12lbs less of rotating mass than looking pretty.

Have to get them made in a custom offset in order to clear my C6Z06 calipers without them bulging out too much.

i've seen a few vettes withem on the 350zforums with i beleive 350z offsets, people sold their 350z's bought vettes and swapped the wheels over.. (most those cats had the Brembo brakes too) have you looked into them?

EDIT: IM WRONG.. i just realized they themselves said they bought the same wheels over again...

    wrong lug pattern.. 5 X 114.3 =(

Can only get a 16" wheel to clear the C5Z brakes. I have C6Z brakes and I'd have to get smaller rotors in order to run a 17" wheel.

    Mmmm.... 17x12" wheel.

Man up and get the smaller brakes You cant have everything LOL Im going to break down (no pun intended) and do smaller rear rotors on my car too, but I was opposed to that for a long time. Sometimes you got to do what you got to do You have big brakes up front...

17x12 would be sick, but an 18x12 would suffice.

I may switch it up to 17s once I get the stroker and twin turbo/spray it.

    Sounds like you vette folks spend more money on wheels and rubber than I do on turbo setups. -_-;

There aren't any sticky tires available in 19s.

I called and spoke with Chip at CCW and he advised the 18x12 Classics wouldn't clear the C6Z06 brakes on a C5Z06. But on top of that, he said the Classics are the weakest wheel and any big potholes/speedbumps would likely bend/damage the rim.

I think I'll go ahead and drop the $1,900 for new rears and tires.

Anyone want to buy two 19x11" CCWs?

Called John at CCW and seems he cannot make 18x12s in the SP500 to clear my calipers.

    I'm ordering black CCW C14s in 18x12s.

stick with the 5-spokes you have. those other ones look too "busy".

maybe just have your wheels painted/ powdercoated black?

what about a custom set of work wheels? the meister s1's can be had in custom sizes.....
