So we're back from our mini FL vacation....
So this weekend me and the girlfriend went on a little trip to Daytona Beach Fl. We left sat. morning around 8am. The drive there went pretty quick as i found a guy with a Titan and a radar detector. This potent combination equated to driving from Macon to I-10 in just over an hour. It was quite a spectacle, a black Titan, a red MINI, and 2 new silver Altimas all going 100+ down the left lane. It seemed me and the Titan just seemed to attract the Altimas... it was one , then another one appeared and followed us. Well after all that was said and done, we pulled it back to a cool 85 and continued to Daytona.
Other than stopping in what i'd call the 'questionable' side of Jacksonville, things were rather uneventful. We got to our destination and turned around on our way with no problems. (yes im purposefully omitting details for a later post... its a kinda secret at the moment)
So we decide to take a slow way back to Jacksonville by taking the A1A north along the beach. WOW. Talk about a beautiful drive. I actually took the passenger seat so i could get a good look at the ocean and beach... its been 17 yrs since i have seen/been to the east coast of Florida as im from Miami. We stopped just north of Flagler Beach to take i nsome sun and a quick walk on the beach. So we kicked off our shoes and went for a walk. The waves were really kicking out there.... a good 6ft+ high. Luckly Jenn keeps an eye out for my dumbass. As i went walking on the water line, she noticed there there were a good many jellyfish washed up. Something tells me it would have sucked to step on one of those. I kept standing them up and leaving them on the beach lol. I poked a few with a stick too, i was having fun!
As we got into St. Augustine the weather started going downhill. It wasn't too bad there. The city is amazing for sure. But since it started raining and we wanted to get back to make sure the weather in ga didn't take anything out, we didn't stop for pics. Appairantly it did cause some kind of serious accident. We came around a turn just north of the city to be greeted by a dozen or so emergency vehicles and LifeFlight buzzing out top. No clue as to what happened though.
Rain.Wow. Not long after getting into Ga, the rain came.....and did it. I expected some, but i really think we drove through the worst of the worst the ENTIRE way until just south of Atlanta. For a good while, i was following a semi trying to stay in his tracks but the rain was so hard there were none. I was really expecting it to hail at some point, but luckily it never did. Something tells me they aren't under drought in central Ga anymore lol.
But we made it back safe,abiet late, 3am. Our little trip definatly opened up the idea of taking a weekend trip somewhere down there. Unfortunatly the stop on th ebeach was the only time that we broke out the camera other then taking pics of out objective for being there..... which i can't post...yet

And i'll leave it up to you people's minds to think what this looks like. Its really one of the MANY jellyfish that were washed up.
