Default Some help for a newb

    Hey guys,

I was wondering if you could point me to a worthwhile shop for bikes. I came into a 600RR for cheap but it doesn't run. I'm hearing a lot of people tell me it's the injectors that need to be cleaned. It was sitting for a lengthy amount of time. A little shy of two years.

Cleaning the injectors is the next thing I wantto try. Any help is going to be much appreciated.

    Thanks.

What year is it? If it was just sitting there for a long time, it can be alot of things. Start with the battery lol

Dropped by Cycle Stop and the guy offered a good price for for all the shit compared to the dealership.

It's an 03 600RR. Battery was the first thing to get tossed followed by the gas. Spark plugs are next.

Most bike shops are going to charge you at least $40-$50/hr labor... then there is the mark-up for parts.

Chasing a gremlin can get pretty pricey pretty quickly. Did the seller not give you any other information than 'it sat for two years'?

I'd drain the tank, inspect it, then take it from there.

It's doubtful that it is clogged injectors. If you cannot work on the bike yourself, expect to spend some money. Sometimes it's worth it to buy one that already runs. I get some that do, and some that don't, but I can do the work myself.

^ I agree. I'm also doubting it's the injectors as well. I'm starting to lean towards fouled plugs. I guess I just don't feel too comfortable working on bikes. BUT, the amount I'll be paying for the bike in addition to the repair work shouldn't be over 2.1 G's. Or so I hope.

PM Sent ....Couple things that could cause a Honda to not run ...If it has been dropped it could be the Tilt Sensor .Plugs wont just foul out from sitting for 2 years ..
