Business Help

Im trying to get help a friend of mine get his small business going. Its an online business dealing with travel. And one of the big areas i noticed him lacking in was his forums section. And ive made some suggestions about it, and hes in the process of changing them. But i/he wants to know what do you guys generally like to see in forums, especially cause this one is so popular. What can be done to help increase traffic there, besides advertising?
