Thread: Cars for me

    Default Cars for me

    alright so the Tib got Wrecked a month ago and its finally fixed and through the shop jacking up my Carbon Fiber hood i get to get a new OEM hood and painted to match the car so it will all be looking stock. I have sold all the parts and returned the rest to stock now. I want something else, something faster, something bigger and a lil better MPG for me to trade my Tiburon in on. Here are the stats on the Tib;

-Magazine times list the Tiburon at 15.7 1/4 miles but people have gotten 15.2
-With Intake, Intake Manifolds, headers, exhaust and a tune i was only getting 181 whp and would only get me to around 14.5 BEST 1/4 mile times
    -Only getting around 15.5-16.5 mpg

Any suggestions? I cant think of much more than the Evo, STi, and SRT4

yeah that plus the cost of the 04 Sti that i looked at pushed me towards the Wrx you really can't go wrong in either platform.......just depends on how u would feel pushing the mafia wagon all i can say is take the *test* on both.

werd^^ neons are cheap (considerably), good gas mileage, fast, easy to mod and make faster, stylish ect.

wrx isnt a bad choice either but a lil more pricy.

u can get the bugeyes for about the same price as a neon but its costs ALOT more to make power out of them.

    example.

me stock turbo (tdo4 which is basically a 14g) vs a 18G bugeye
    i won
    he won
    i won
    he won

thats how it went but i have alot smaller turbo

srt-4 is the way to go.wrx cost more to mod,and the tranmission don't like more than 300hp.There are many 350-500hp srt-4 riding around,on the stock motor.

guess i just need to go drive one. my biggest thing is how i fit, i am 6'5" and 250 lbs. yes i did fit in the tib, not well but i fit. i would like something more with more comfort where im not banging my head on the ceiling all the time. what do u suggest for an used srt4 milege wise? try and get under 20k or 30k?

guess and the other factor that comes into this is i only owe $7,900 on my car that has only 34k miles on it. If i keep it i can use the diminsh value and pain and suffering money i get from the insurance company to pay on the principal of the loan and then i get another $535 from the body shop for scratching my CF hood. I could have my car paid off most likely by christmas time and then just go buy a SC kit and run about 3 psi (headers will decrease it from 5 psi it runs on a stock tib) and make around 250 or more whp. I still have my Dc headers and exhaust and my CF hood on the car. Just would need the SC kit, motor mounts and SRI. U dont even have to tune this kit, even though i still would eventually

I drove the new 07 Tiburon.. I was actually impressed for what it is.. Only thing I didnt like was how cheap everything felt. (oxymoron) lol

Pay your car off.. then traded it in... If you can pay it off in a year, I would chill till then

the 07's have a little better suspension design that the previous yrs but not much else has changed except outside inside styling. Engine and tranny are the same but i just dont like the looks of the 07 Tib

this is probably wat i will do. all the parts i did have and have sold i cant use with a SC anyways. I kept the headers on the car, ill probably only run somewhere between 3-5 psi. it is my daily driver and a Hyundai at that. Dont want to spend the money to make the motor ready to run 8 psi daily driven...
